This Shipibo textile features the traditional 'Ronin-Kene' which symbolizes the anima of the rivers, lakes, and streams. This design motif represents the dragon or the immense serpent that according to their ancient stories and visions is the guardian of different realms of water for it lives in those watery depths. These patterns can also be seen beautifully displayed on the bodies of the actual Ronin dragon; embodying a sacred spiritual force along with that of the boa.
This textile is made from 100% cotton, hand-embroidered and dyed with natural pigments.
