Maru was born in Argentina, and in 2014, she travelled throughout Latin America to countries like Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru, where she currently lives and where she fell in love with Cusco, its culture, and its people. She defines herself as a born entrepreneur and is passionate about food and experimentation. As the Café Manager at Xapiri Ground, she fuses her liking for the artisanal processes and outcomes with the sourcing of quality natural products and providers from Indigenous communities throughout the Peruvian Amazon.
