Join us for a live discourse between sound artist Nahun Saldaña Macedo (Lima, Peru) and special guest Manititaki (Quechua, Asháninka) as they discuss past, present, and future realities for the Asháninka peoples, its cultural implications, and connection with the arts.

Nahun will share the connections behind his work "El Armamento Sonoro del Ejército Asháninka 1980-2000" (currently on exhibition at Xapiri Ground) along with his experiences as a sound designer, living and working abroad. Also check out the artist Q&A to learn more.

Manititaki (Yerald) is of Asháninka and Quechua descent, born in the 'Comunidad Coca' situated along the Pichari River, in the Cusco region. He is an advocate for his native community and creates sustainable trade between the artisans and farmers with the marketplace. We are proud to open up this dialogue between these two visionaries.

This event will be held in Spanish.
